Your Impact:

Crozier is seeking an Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join one of our offices in Collingwood, Guelph, or Burlington.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects supporting land development, municipal infrastructure, and environmental investigations, while taking increasing responsibility for technical delivery, field leadership, and client support.

You will work closely with civil, water resources, and environmental professionals, contributing hydrogeological expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

How you will contribute to the team:

Hydrogeological & Field Work

  • Plan and execute hydrogeological investigations including:
    • groundwater monitoring, sampling, and level measurements
    • borehole logging and oversight of drilling and well installations slug and pumping tests and data interpretation
  • Supervise field programs, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure adherence to health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, data records, and QA/QC procedures.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Interpret hydrogeological and hydrochemical data and develop conceptual site models.
  • Prepare technical reports and supporting documentation, including:
    • hydrogeological and groundwater impact assessments
    • dewatering assessments and monitoring plans
    • groundwater monitoring and compliance reports
  • Support groundwater‑related components of multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Regulatory & Client Support

  • Support permitting and regulatory submissions related to groundwater and dewatering, as applicable.
  • Liaise with municipalities, conservation authorities, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with proposal preparation, scope development, and cost estimating.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver integrated, practical solutions.

Mentorship & Collaboration

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment aligned with Crozier’s values and culture.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science/Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional P.Geo designation with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO) or Professional P.Eng designation with the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or eligible to register as a P.Geo or P.Eng.
  • 4-8+ years or relevant consulting experience in hydrogeology/environmental projects.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario’s hydrogeological and environmental regulatory environment.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • groundwater monitoring and sampling methods
    • aquifer testing (slug/pumping) and interpretation
    • drilling and well installation practices
    • hydrogeological reporting standards and QA/QC
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience preparing clear, defensible technical reports for clients and regulators.
  • Experience with dewatering assessments and construction‑related hydrogeology.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or groundwater modelling tools.
  • Valid Class G Ontario driver’s license and willingness to travel for fieldwork as necessary.
